The food here is American comfort food and this is the kind of restaurant where you can always be 100% sure that whatever you order, whether it's an omelet, French toast, burger, salad or sandwich, the food will always be terrific.

I love breakfasts, specifically the Lumberjack Breakfast, which comes with ham steak, bacon, sausage, two fried eggs, and two pancakes. A nap is definitely needed after consuming such a meal.

They have a full bar if you want to drink and dddddddd they also have a Thrifty ice cream station inside! You can watch them use the cylindrical scoop to dig up the ice cream. There is nothing better than this!

Before going to TK Burger for the first time, I had some doubts about the legitimacy of their burger. He seemed too simple to make such a fuss. There is nothing fancy about it. There are no truffles, elaborate cheeses or dark dressings. It looked like a simple backyard barbecue burger your uncles cook up on Labor Day weekend.

Boy was I wrong. The first bite made me see the light! It absolutely lived up to the hype and it was only then that I realized that a TK burger doesn't need anything fancy to make it good. It is simply a very well made and very tasty burger that reveals its simplicity.

Oh, and you can get a TK burger and fries for under $10.

Beale's story begins in owner Brett Beale's backyard, where he used to cook for friends and family, who often encouraged him to open his own restaurant. Though reluctant at first, Beale began to come up with the idea after competing in barbecue competitions in Texas.

His restaurant came to fruition in 2015 in Fontana and then in 2020 in Huntington Beach.

So how's the food? Fan-damn-tastic! The grill is competition grade and is constantly being refined to get as close to perfection as possible. It took Beale two years to perfect his 24-hour smoked brisket, resulting in some of the most perfectly flavored brisket we've ever eaten.

You can order individual rolls or from a preset menu, with options of 5, 6, and 7 rolls. They have many appetizers to warm the palate and their craft cocktails make this place a wonderful dining experience.

My favorite thing to order is the fisherman's stew. It comes with a little bit of everything: lobster, shrimp, scallops, crab, clams, calamari, mussels, and fish fillets and is served with garlic bread for dipping.

Their drinks menu is equally impressive, with a great selection of craft cocktails, craft beers, and fine wines.

Happy hour is Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. m. to 6:30 p.m. m. and on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 p.m. m. to 5 p.m. where you can get great deals on appetizers, entrees, beer, wine, and other cocktails.

I didn't eat everything on the menu, but I did try a significant amount and can confidently suggest some impossible-to-refuse items.

1) Breakfast Burrito - It's hard to go wrong with this one. The burrito is filled with eggs, potatoes, cheese, and sausage or bacon…or both!

2) Carnitas Grande Qusadilla – A huge quesadilla stuffed with cheese and bony falling carnitas. Nuff said.

3) NotCho Fries - This is their version of roast beef fries and it does not disappoint. It's a gooey, cheesy, meaty, potato-fry-filled affair.

4) Any Taco - All tacos are great. Skrimp and Federale are my favourites.

There are plenty of places to poke in and around Huntington Beach, but none does it better than North Shore Poke. This place serves poke just like they do in Ilha Grande and it's amazing!

Located in downtown Huntington Beach, the concept here is similar to many other build-your-own-bowl places from scratch. There is no wrong way to do this. All roads lead to a mix of delights.

They also have sandwiches, tacos, and nachos if you're not in the mood for poke.

Apart from the fact that the food is delicious, another strong point of North Shore Poke is that it is only a 5 minute walk from the beach. You can order your bowl, take a walk down the street and enjoy your bowl, while listening to the waves crashing against the tide.

What I love about BUNZ is that you can walk away with a prime burger, fries and a drink for around $10, unlike other restaurants, *cough Five Guys* where it costs an arm and a leg to get a sub. product.

If you're in no doubt about your health, order the pastrami cheeseburger, throw in an egg, and order a side of crispy onion rings. Wash it all down with an oreo shake and say goodnight for a few hours because you're going to need a nap after this kind of decadence.
